Visited Linton & Mac for my first time today for a curly cut. I was extremely nervous about having my hair cut, but sienna was very friendly and made sure I was comfortable at all times. Will definitely be returning.
It's not a great salon in my opinion but the staff was very nice. The music is a bit too loud so you have to be shouting, and the stylist was multitasking so she didn't pay much attention to what she was doing. They didn't seem to know how to handle thick wavy hair. The stylist first straightened, then curled my hair which makes no sense, also because I asked for a natural haircut. A week later the cut was already shapeless and the layers don't have a nice flow. I would expect more at this price range.
I've been going to Linton and Mac for about 6 years now and they have ruined all other hairdressers for me. I always try and book in with Alison, she is incredible at what she does, a true master of her craft and the coolest, sweetest person. I would also like to mention Caroline who is usually at the front desk, she's amazing and is so welcoming. Just the nicest atmosphere and I always leave feeling like my best self.
I have been going to Linton and Mac for a few years now and now continue to travel up to Aberdeen from Edinburgh to get my hair done, because I trust and like them so much. Alison is so utterly brilliant - she’s so knowledgeable and so skilled at what she does that she somehow translates both my uselessness with hair and my crap instructions into something brilliant! As per other reviews, would NOT recommend if getting anything other than a straight cut. Top layers of my hair have not been touched. Left with a squint haircut (middle parting!) and still lots of dead ends on my pre-established wolf cut for £62. Very steep for skill level and quality of service. Fringe is squint and no technique used by Kirst to finish this off. Just trimmed horizontally along my brows and no more technique used, however somehow still uneven!
