The Regency is a lovely older hotel in a great location. As noted by others, it is showing some wear and tear. The AC in our room could not really keep up with the heat, even at night. The service was usually excellent, especially Ludna, the concierge. She made excellent recommendations and always asked what we thought. She also wanted to know about other places we tried to expand her knowledge. We stayed through American Express Fine Hotels program and got a room upgrade only after I asked for it and pointed out that the we... read more
Always a pleasure to stay at the Regency. Exceedingly comfortable but it is the people who work there that make the experience so very special. From reception to door men to waiter/bartenders to the concierge to the housekeepers. All friendly and with a "can-do" attitude that brings hospitality to a level rarely seen elsewhere.
Great hotel in a very convenient location. The staff were top notch, friendly and helpful. They remembered our names and felt like they were looking out for us. Our room was clean and comfortable and would stay there again. All the amenities of a 5 star hotel.
My husband and I have stayed at this hotel multiple times and each visit surpasses our expectations.
