The best colour and haircut I've ever gotten was here, by Lauryn and Ophelia! Ophelia was so gentle, considerate, and skilled while cutting my hair. I had told her what I was looking for, how I wanted to reduce the weight of my hair, and she gave me the most beautiful layers. She completely exceeded my expectations and it was amazing to see her work her magic! Elaine was my stylist yesterday. She was pleasant and professional. She gave me good suggestions to help me choose a cut. Her workmanship was excellent. She gave great attention to detail. I am very happy with my cut. There is good vibe at Sassoon with all staff looking like they are happy to be there.
I have never left a review for a hair salon before, but my recent experience here was deeply disappointing and unprofessional. During my most recent visit, my colourist and I agreed on a slight change to my colour. However, after the application was completed, my colourist never returned to check on me or review the final result. Instead, I was left entirely in the care of an apprentice. My Sassoon experience has been pretty great. The friendly crew at reception greets me and sends me on my way in the kindest manner. Tara and the rest of the staff are lovely and ensure I am settled in comfortably with a tea as they begin their transformation of my hair. The team of apprentices have vibrant energies and wrap up my visits with the best of blow dries.
One of my least favourite haircuts. I think the first stylist has some reaI potential but the training at Sassoon is a "one approach cut". I am not sure this method of cutting does well with thick hair where you want to have that long layered cut. I will add that I was called after my review and offered another cut by Joseph (the senior stylist and something I appreciated) but it was impossible to really fix the previous cut without out taking out the length. At $170 per hair cut, I my try another salon next time.
