They cannot cut East Asian-style bangs at all, and cut it too short (nothing like the reference photo with wispy long bangs i showed the graduate stylist). The salon also tried to call and email me to pressure me to take down my initial three-star review and asked me to come back after my hair grew out to get a free cut, but seemed extremely pushy and uncomfortable/insincere in doing so. I couldn’t be happier with my experience! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and stylish. The staff was friendly and attentive, making me feel special:) from the reception girl with beautiful pink hair who spoke nicely and offered me a coffee, to the stylish assistant who brought the robe, and finally to the wonderful stylist Kyle who took the time to discuss my hair goals and offered valuable suggestions. Highly recommend Elaine, who is a trainee stylist and gave me the first good haircut of my life. I did curtain bangs and layers. She listened to what I wanted (bangs starting at chin level and getting longer) and did exactly that. A few months later and it has grown out beautifully. From the minute I walked in, I felt very welcomed by all the staff at the front desk, which was so nice. And then there’s KYLE - he’s amazing and so talented! His warm energy made me feel very comfortable discussing what we would do with my hair. Speaking of, I love my haircut so much! It’s exactly what I wanted. I also met Jenny when I was checking out and again, such a lovely interaction to end my visit with. I’ll definitely be back and will recommend Sassoon Salon to everyone I know!
