GIRL. The GHETTO. Runnnnn. Unless you enjoy overpaying for broken nails and dealing with awful management, Soak is the place for you. I spent $230+ for nails that chipped and broke in under FOUR DAYS. I rarely leave negative reviews unless warranted, but after giving this salon management multiple chances to do the right thing, I feel it’s only fair to warn others before wasting their money. I feel like a fool for spending $240 within a week for the nails below. I had a delux gel service at SOAK and unfortunately within a few days the gel on my nails started to lift leaving my nails damaged and in a mess. Having not had a negative experience at SOAK before and trusting the usual high quality service I called ahead and booked a repair the following week being told they would take a look. I have been going to soak in Elwood monthly for close to a year now. Katie is excellent at doing manicures. They have always been delightful to the point at Christmas it was my pleasure to walk in with a bundle of my favourite treats for the staff. Just before Christmas I did experience a shocking pedicure in which my skin was cut back so much it caused bleeding and I could not wear any of my good shoes over Christmas and new year. Carlie and there team next level! The place to be for a relaxing treatment! Came here with my partner and booked a big package with lots of treatments, lash lift, tinting, brows, laser and more. It was unbelievable, honestly one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. Great prices, amazing service, and such a relaxing atmosphere. We’re now regulars and can’t wait to come back!
I booked in for a last minute deluxe pedi yesterday evening 19 November. Unfortunately, I arrived a ghastly 20 minutes late due to traffic and road closures from the deep south eastern suburbs (entirely my fault for arriving so late!) but they still saw me for an express pedi with some massage incorporated, which I was incredibly grateful to Chae, my tech and earth angel, for doing despite being under no obligation to; the cancelation and T&Cs are very clear.
